I have had my set for almost ten years and I love it. I have only chipped a few pieces and that was when it was hit on the sink. Doesn't show fork marks. My daughter and daughter-in-law also have this pattern and they haven't had any problems either.

We purchased a massive set of this pattern and of all the fine dishes we own these by Mikasa are a sickening disgrace. The various pieces vary in materials. They vary in colour tone ...yes different tones of white, which looks ridiculous. They chip very easily. The details are extremely blurred and some serving pieces had unglazed spots or dripping glaze. They stack terribly how I wish I could post the photo I have stacked so just do not believe the advertising. I have photographic proof how uneven in size the dish bases are and how warped some of the rims happen to be. It was over this we will never purchase Mikasa again.

Bought them to replace some already chipped. As always very pretty, when they are made in Malaysia.

I love Mikasa's Italian Countryside Collection!!! I have 12 sets of the place settings and many of the serving pieces. I have had this set since 2008-- we received them as shower and wedding presents. I have replaced a few items when they chip, but for the use we put them through, and the price, they are well worth replacing! I use them daily for breakfast and dinner and they make a beautiful place setting with my Lenox ivory Opal Innocence tablecloth and napkins, crystal water goblets and silverware!!!! You cannot go wrong with this pattern!!! LOVE IT!!!

I have owned this pattern for 17 years. I love the pattern and versatility of the color, but I do replace my dinner plates occasionally, a few at a time because they seem to etch badly from flatwear.

I have had the entire set of serving pieces and place settings for 8 for my everyday dishes for some time. I bought 8 more plates to accommodate 16 people for buffet parties. Macy's gave such a good deal, it beat buying paper plates for my guests for larger parties. I love these dishes. I have had them for several years and have only had a broken cup when it was dropped, otherwise, no ships or crazing.
