My Favorite Holiday Plates

There are many other holiday dishes on the market, but this pattern is my favorite. I have 8 large plates that belonged to my grandmother, who I don't remember a lot about, except that she must have had a lot of love in her heart to have purchased these beautiful plates. Her set of plates must be from the late 30's or very early 40's calculating her age compared to mine. Not only did my grandmother use these plates, so did my mother and now, I do. As a little girl, I couldn't wait till Christmas dinner to enjoy using the plates and hated covering up the beautiful tree with food, but of course we did. I have very few things of my grandmother's, so I treasure having these plates and love using them during the holidays. While I haven?t had the opportunity to expand my set a lot, I do want to add to these plates over the next few years so that I can pass them on to my daughter and then my granddaughter. Can you imagine how old those original plates will be by then? WOW. The lovely tree pattern helps create a beautiful holiday table. At least, the newer plates can be washed a lot easier then the original plates. The dinner plates are so versatile that you can use them to serve on or eat dinner off of them. As you can see, they?re my favorite part of eating dinner during the holidays.

Buying Christmas gifts for one's mother-in-law always presents a problem; however, giving Spode's Christmas Tree pattern china solves the problem. Everyone loves this Christmas china for the pattern never goes out of date nor does one grow tired from looking at the pattern. Even hard-to-please mother-in-laws love this gift and can find no fault. Not only does the pattern look great but the china is dishwasher safe and the color and pattern remain steadfast just like the sentiment bestowed by the pattern.
