The Smell! Great bag but HORRIBLE CHEMICAL SMELL!!

I have this bag in light beige & light blue & LOVE them! I own many Sak purses. I was thrilled when I saw it in the tobacco color with crochet trim in the store & bought it immediately, knowing I'd love everything about it. How could I not? Well I was wrong. The next morning, my bedroom had this terrible chemical smell like bug spray. I couldn't figure out the cause. By end of day, realized it was the purse. I sealed it in a plastic bag since I couldn't get to Macy's to return it for a few days. Well 2 days later the smell permeated that part of my home & became so overwhelming, that I bagged the purse in 3 plastic trash bags & it's going back tomorrow. I've never smelled anything like this on a purse in my life. The tag says it's leather. This is not what leather smells like. It's extremely potent & concerning. I'm not very sensitive to scents as some people are.This is an extremely strong chemical smell & plan to alert the company.
